BEACON
Concept demonstration for government partnership

Türkiye's visitors deserve an arrival layer.

Beacon connects every visitor, in their own language, to the official services Türkiye already runs: 112, YİMER 157, e-Visa, embassies and hospitals. One front door for the moment something goes wrong.

52.78Mforeign visitors in 2025, an all-time record
44working screens, Turkish and English
0government systems claimed as connected

Honest by design. Beacon is not an official government service. Every government integration in the demonstration is disabled and marked "government approval required". It complements official travel documents and never replaces a passport.

Live interactive demonstration. Fictional data, resets on reload. Tap inside and explore.

The problem

The services exist. The visitor cannot reach them.

Türkiye runs strong national rails: one emergency number, a 24/7 foreigners' line, a mature e-government gateway. What no visitor has is one place that makes those rails understandable and usable, in their own language, under stress.

The hardest moment is in the wrong language

A lost passport or a medical emergency arrives without warning, and rarely in Turkish or English the visitor can navigate.

Help is scattered across many channels

112, 157, e-Visa, consulates, duty pharmacies and hospitals each live in a different place with a different interface.

No country has solved this yet

There is no official multilingual arrival app anywhere. The first state to own this layer sets the global standard.

The solution

One front door over the official rails.

Beacon Türkiye creates a secure verification and assistance layer around a visitor's journey, from lawful entry to registered accommodation and departure. With authorised government integration, Beacon can confirm identity and entry status, visa or residence validity, and verified accommodation events. Expired, invalid, missing, or inconsistent records are referred to the appropriate authorised team for human review. Beacon does not make immigration decisions, continuously track visitors, or replace passports and official government systems.

Türkiye is the first country pack, not the limit. The same private journey core now connects passport checks, airline boarding passes, arrival, stay and departure.

Emergency, one tap

SOS connects to 112 with location ready. YİMER 157 one tap away, offline phrases included.

Arrival Pass demonstration

A signed demonstration credential with a rotating QR that shares only the minimum authorised data.

Trusted network

Hotels, taxis and help desks trained to recognise the pass, shown with honest demonstration records today.

Guide that knows its limits

Prepared official answers with citations, instant escalation to 112, and refusal of anything official channels must decide.

The arrival journey

From invitation to departure, demonstrated end to end.

Before the flight

Language, traveller profile, passport MRZ check, consent, and a clearly simulated verification.

Arrival Pass issued

A premium credential card with a 60-second rotating QR. A physical passport remains legally required.

In Türkiye

Providers verify with role-scoped disclosure: a hotel sees a name and language, never a passport number.

Departure

Journey review, data export, exit demonstration, credential expiry, and one-tap deletion of everything.

Verified Stay and Safety

Lawful entry, registered accommodation, departure. Verified as events.

Türkiye already requires visitors to give an address of stay in certain residence processes, and already distinguishes visas, visa exemptions, residence permits and work permits. Beacon connects those existing processes into one safer visitor experience. It does not replace any of them.

Arrival status

After a simulated authorised border-checkpoint scan flow, standing in for what an authorised border verification would confirm: identity matched, entry verified, visa or exemption validity, permitted-stay expiry, and whether manual review is required.

Verified accommodation

A hotel scans the QR and confirms provider, check-in, expected checkout, province and district, with a timestamp. One registration event, not a location trail.

Status timeline

Entry verified, accommodation registered, stay active, departure confirmed. Exceptions cover expired documents, inconsistent details, missing registration, an expiring stay and an open assistance request.

Safety escalation

A protected dashboard where authorised staff review exceptions on records. Beacon never labels a person escaped, unlawful or dangerous, and releases nothing automatically.

If someone is reported missing

When a person is formally reported missing through an authorised process, Beacon can securely provide relevant verified journey events to the responsible authority, subject to legal permissions and human review.

  • Privacy and accountability screen: which organisation asked, what was accessed, the legal or authorised purpose, the date and time, the retention and deletion policy, and the complete audit history.
  • Human review always: every request is recorded as awaiting a named officer. This demonstration releases nothing.
  • Pilot demonstration, fictional records, no connection to government systems. Real integration remains subject to government authorisation.

Privacy architecture

Private by design, provable in one sentence.

Traveller data lives encrypted on the traveller's device and nowhere else. There is no Beacon server holding personal data in this demonstration.

  • Encrypted wallet: PBKDF2 key derivation and AES-GCM, unlocked only by the traveller's passphrase.
  • Minimum disclosure: the QR carries only the minimum authorised personal data, never passport, contact or medical details.
  • Role-scoped verification: each provider type sees only the fields its role justifies.
  • Full deletion: one control removes every trace from the device. Consent is explicit and granular.
Government integration path

Stated plainly: what works today, what needs approval.

Beacon ships with every government adapter disabled and labelled. The demonstration shows how each integration would work, and asks for nothing until the state grants it.

Beacon does not create another government database. It turns authorised records into a trusted, privacy-controlled visitor journey.

Controlled-pilot proposal

One city. Two languages. Clear kill criteria.

Istanbul first, measured honestly.

Istanbul receives roughly a third of all foreign arrivals. The proposal: a controlled pilot with corridor languages chosen from real arrival data, success and kill criteria agreed before launch, and nothing shipping without a government owner.

Beacon is ready to demonstrate for consideration as a controlled government pilot. It is not connected to government systems and it is not production-ready.
